Proveniente de China, uno de los mejores jugadores que ha tenido ese país. Pertenece a la tribu de los "White Tigers" que durante generaciones han sido destacados por sus grandiosas batallas y jamás haber perdido. En un aparentemente olvidado pueblo, Rei crece con sus mejores amigos de la infancia, pero una noche le fue otorgada la más valiosa propiedad de la villa: la bestia bit Driger. A la mañana siguiente, Rei ya no se encontraba en ninguna parte, se había marchado.
Poco tiempo después, vemos que Rei aparece en el torneo regional de Japón por petición del señor Dickenson, su plan era que viera las capacidades de los futuros miembros del equipo asiático para el campeonato mundial de Beyblade y así después de la batalla que tuvo con Takao (Tyson), Rei acepta estar en el equipo.

En el torneo de China, sabemos un poco más de lo que hizo Rei, es llamado traidor por sus antiguos amigos y es aquí donde deberá de mostrar lo que hizo al salir de su pueblo: buscar nuevos horizontes que lo llevaran a perfeccionar la técnica del Beyblade y lograr ser digno de llevar a Driger como su bestia bit.
Poco tiempo después, Rei regresa a China a entrenar a los niños de su villa pero su tranquilidad se vería interrumpida cuando misteriosos chicos aparecen de la nada para exigir batallar y robar las bestias bit. Rei incluso en este tiempo (y a pesar de haber modificado su beyblade a un nuevo nivel), llega a perder a Driger lo que le provoca un dolor inmenso para aprender a ser más fuerte.

En G-Revolution, Rei decide que va a dejar a los Bladebreakers para regresar con su equipo original e intentar quitarle el título de campeón mundial a Takao, es aquí donde vemos en la serie de anime a un Rei más parecido al del manga.

Rei es un personaje bastante interesante por su pasado, al principio pareciera ser algo egocéntrico, orgulloso y que no le importaría nada mas que ganar, en realidad, él es bastante amable e intenta ayudar cuando se es necesario. La seriedad le ayuda a pensar con más detenimiento sus jugadas, detesta perder pero trata de enmendar su error a la próxima vez.
Rei tiene rasgos 'felinos' por lo que es denominado en el fandom del anime-manga como un 'neko-jin', así que no es raro el que veamos de pronto como sus pupilas se dilatan como un gato o que sus ataques, movimientos y actitudes sean iguales a la de estos felinos. Esto sin contar que su bestia bit Driger es un tigre blanco.

Born in China, nowadays one of the best players his country has ever had. He belongs to the tribe of the "White Tigers" who had been outstanding over generations known by their huge battles and never lost. In a apparently forgotten town, Rei grows with his best childhood friends, and one night he was granted with the most valuable property of the village: the beast bit Driger.
The morning after, Rei no longer was nowhere to be found, he left the village.
Some time later, we see Rei appear in the regional match of Japan by request of Mr. Dickenson, his plan was to see the capacities of the future members of the Asian equipment for the world-wide championship of Beyblade and thus after the battle whom he had with Takao (Tyson), Rei accepts to be part of the team.

During the China match, we are able to find out what Rei did, he is called traitor by his old friends and is here where he will have to show what he pretended when he decided to leave his town: to look for new horizons and perfectionate the Beyblade technique and to manage to be a worth holder of the Driger like their beast bit.

Rei is quite an interesting character , his past is somehow peculiar, in the beginning seemed to be something egocentric, proud and someone who would do anything to win, in fact, he is a kind person and tries to help when it's necesary. His serious personality helps him to have better control of his moves while playing, he hates losing, just can't stand it, though he tries to learn from his mistakes so whatever he did wrong, won´t ever happen again.

Rei has "felines" characteristics, reason why he is denominated in fandom of the anime-manga like 'neko-jin', so is common to see cat-like movements on him, his eyes and expressions are completely "feline". This without telling that his beast bit Driger is a white tiger.

Para el nombre del FL se me ocurrieron millones de cosas, no fue cuando me di cuenta que en el fandom del fanfic se recalcaba el hecho de que Rei actuaba semejante a un gato, incluyendo los ronroneos... Así que usando eso, me pareció algo curioso que el nombre fuera el "sonido" del ronroneo de un gato. A mi me encanta leer sobre los ronroneos de Rei.

For the name of the FL I imagined a million of stuff, but when I read a bunch of fanfics and found that in the beyfandom they put the personality of a cat for Rei, with the 'purr'... Use that, sounds to me a curious name for the sound of a cat. I love to read 'bout Rei's purrings!
